For over 60 years, MEC has gained international admiration for its presentation of music frequently new, sometimes old and always uniquely stimulating. Musical history is made at Monday Evening Concerts, whether it was the American debut of Pierre Boulez, world premieres of Igor Stravinsky, or the appearances here of such artists as Marino Formenti and the Arditti Quartet.
Join us and discover what the Los Angeles Times has called "among our trustiest sources of new music sustenance." Informal gatherings follow all concerts where you will have the opportunity to meet the performers and fellow audience members.
The 2008/09 season is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commision; The French-American Contemporary Fund; the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles; Department of Cultural Affairs fo the City of Los Angeles; and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
