Sunday Morning Films
From illuminating films to up-close conversations with composers and performers, these Sunday morning events hosted by the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles provide a unique educational experience prior to Monday evening's concert. Before each screening, enjoy coffee and a selection of light refreshments.
Sunday Morning Films is a co-presentation of Monday Evening Concerts and the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles.

Meet the Composer: Klaus Lang Klaus Lang introduces his work, and one of his most inspired performers, Russian singer Natalia Pschenitschnikova, will perform works by Klaus Lang, Giacinto Scelsi, and Vadim Karassikov. |

Meet the Composer: Evan Johnson Emerging American composer Evan Johnson visits Los Angeles to present a multimedia introduction to his music and aesthetics. Both recorded and live performances of his music will be featured in this program. |

Film & Performance A documentary film features interviews with the provocative composer Aldo Clementi, who was inspired by numerous visual artists, including Kurt Schwitters. Discussion of both Clementi and Schwitters will be included alongside a live performance of a Clementi piano work. |

All events in the 2011-12 Sunday Morning Films series will take place at the Goethe-Institut Media Lounge at 11:00 a.m. Doors will open at 10:30 for refreshments. General admission is $5 per person. Tickets are available at the door only. Advance ticketing is not available at this time. Season subscribers receive free admission on a first come, first served basis.
The Goethe-Institut is located in the Wilshire Courtyard office complex, between S. Curson Avenue and Masselin Avenue in the Miracle Mile district.
On-site underground parking is free on Sunday. Street parking also available. MTA bus lines 20 and 21 stop at Wilshire/Curson. Rapid bus line 720 stops at Wilshire/Fairfax.
