Samuel Beckett’s writings were a lifelong inspiration for California-born composer Earl Kim, whose spare and minimal Exercises en Route is a riveting song cycle of texts by the Irish author. Special guest Susan Narucki, who has “drop-dead musicianship and a voice you want to hear,” (Boston Globe) joins XTET for Exercises, which is performed alongside energetic ensemble works by Crockett, Knussen and Boccadoro.
