Adam Bhatia cornetto
Adam Bhatia is a trumpet player based in the Los Angeles area. He has won first prize in numerous international competitions including the National Trumpet Competition, International Trumpet Guild Competition, Pasadena Showcase for the Arts Competition, Diablo Symphony Brass Competition, the prestigious Yamaha Young Performing Artist Award, and was runner-up for the Armando Ghitalla Award. In 2009, he was the Grand Prize Winner of the Young Musicians Foundation Concerto Competition, and will appear as a soloist with the orchestra in the 2009-2010 season. Mr. Bhatia has served as the Principal Trumpet for the YMF Debut Orchestra since 2002, as well La Orquesta de Baja California. He is also member of the American Youth Symphony, and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Furthermore, Mr. Bhatia was nominated for the celebrated Avery Fisher Career Grant in 2006. Mr. Bhatia holds B.A. and M.M. degrees in Trumpet Performance from UCLA where he studied with Jens Lindemann. Apart from an active freelance career, Adam maintains a large private studio of trumpet students.
